The California State History Museum Store complements the exhibits with a wide array of California-related items. People of all ages will find something of interest. Choose from unique desk accessories, educational toys and games, jewelry, and specialty foods. Book selections highlight the museum's four theme areas, including anthologies of California writers, children's books, nature, and travel. Prices range from fifty cents to $500.

The store is accessible from the museum lobby; it is not necessary to buy a ticket to the museum in order to visit the store. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
